In Episode 3 of Bars For Change we're looking at the rise of extremism in the UK and asking why young people join extremist groups? Tomorrow (3rd September) hundreds of members of the English Defence League will take to the street of Tower Hamlets to protest against what they believe to be the spread of Islamic extremism. Thousands more will head out to counter protest the EDL, believing them to be fascists. But how do young people get caught up in groups whose believes seem to threaten life as we know it? What are they searching for? And what are they finding? We asked you to share your stories about extremist groups and Black The Ripper, RoXXan and Mikill Pane have teamed up with internationally renowned producer, Jake Gosling to turn these contributions and their own feelings into an exclusive new track. As well as their bars, you'll hear from Sana, a young Muslim who feels that extremist group Muslims Against Crusades are twisting her faith to a point where she doesn't recognise it and Joe who was brought up in Essex but can't see why many young Englishmen join the ranks of the EDL. They'll speak to members of both these groups in a bid to find the appeal of being on the edge of acceptable opinion and we hear from a former far-right extremist who is now an anti-facism campaigner.
